Noble natural stone fireplace

In remote and sometimes hardly accessible quarries in Asia and Europe, the raw material is quarried from the mountain in blocks weighing tons at great expense. After months on the high seas, the stone finally arrives via Hamburg at our stonemasons in Saxony's Burgen- und Heideland and northern Italy's Lombardy, where it is processed to an accuracy of a tenth of a millimetre. The result is a unique natural stone cladding with a high specific weight, which retains the heat of your stove for a long time - and simply looks great.

What are the advantages of a stove with natural stone from DROOFF?

Storage capacity
Natural stone cladding with good storage properties ensures sustainable heat storage and uniform heat emission. The density of the stone and the volume of the cladding are decisive for good storage capacity. The high specific weight of DROOFF natural stone cladding stores the heat of your stove long and effectively.

Naturalness
Only pure stone is used in our stoves. We do not use color enhancers, polish or sealants. In addition to a high heat storage capacity, the natural and elegant appearance of our stone cladding also plays a major role. You have the choice between a variety of different colours and grains.

Recyclability
At DROOFF, we deliberately avoid recycling-critical materials. For example, our natural stone cladding is reused as crushed stone in the construction industry.

Our natural stone claddings are unique specimens several million years old - each one a footprint of the earth's history!

NatStone
Our stone cladding NatStone is a serpentine stone and, in terms of rock science, a garnet serpentinite. Serpentine stone is extremely hard and durable. It is impervious to scratches and is easy to clean. Sandblasting makes the unique structure of the grain visible. Our serpentine stone is quarried in the Italian Central Alps.

SandStone
Sandstone is formed from grains of sand that have been pressed together by the pressure of surrounding layers of earth. The layers are held together by calcite and clay minerals. The dark brown interlayers of this stone make the stone come alive and give it an extravagant appearance. Our sandstone is quarried in the eastern foothills of the Himalayan Mountains at an altitude of about 1,900 meters. Visually it is reminiscent of wood. It feels pleasantly soft and warm. The fine marbling is unique and individually pronounced.

Soapstone
Soapstone enjoys great popularity due to its very high heat storage capacity of 2,980 kg/m³. Although this stone takes longer to heat up, it can store a particularly large amount of heat. Over a long period of time, the heat is evenly released back into the room. The stone has a noble and timeless appearance and its velvety surface is a real "hand-feeler". One of the main components of soapstone is talc, a mineral belonging to the phyllosilicates. Our soapstone is mined in Brazil and Finland.

PremiumWhite
Our PremiumWhite natural stone is a very durable limestone with a microcrystalline structure. The stone is quarried in the regions of the Iberian Peninsula. The limestone is of organic origin and was formed by the accumulation of organic debris, corals and all kinds of crustaceans on the bottom of prehistoric seas. The warm white colour gives your stove a particularly modern appearance.

PremiumGrey
Our natural stone PremiumGrey is a quartzite sandstone from the Eocene age. It has a homogeneous structure, which makes it extremely hard and durable. It is a fine-grained sandstone consisting of tiny grains of different sedimentary rocks. These are glued together with a quartz binder and are highly crystallized. This distinguishes it from other typical sandstones. With a density of 2,650 kg/m³, it has a similarly high heat storage capacity as soapstone. This natural stone is quarried in Central Europe at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains.

The pictures on our website are typical examples - but every natural stone is unique. Different shades of colour, layers of sediment, veins and inclusions have been formed over many millions of years and make each stove unique.

We recommend that you visit your local dealer to see the beauty, variety and range of our natural stone cladding.

ArtBeton pure

This concrete cladding is given its special and individual character by variations typical of exposed concrete (rough surface or colour structures).

Every stove and every shelf in ArtBeton pure is unique. Visually comparable to exposed concrete. The applied slurries and the resulting colour differences underline this effect.
